Born from a Passion to Help During Crisis

The story of SparkCX begins not in a boardroom, but in the crucible of a global challenge. In March 2020, as the world shut down, the founders at SparkCX witnessed the struggles of government agencies. Traditional systems left them ill-equipped to serve the community. Furloughed workers needed unemployment benefits, teachers needed to connect with virtual students, and essential services hung in the balance.

That's when the SparkCX team, alongside dedicated Amazon Connect partners, stepped in. Over the next year and a half, they tirelessly built virtual contact centers in the cloud. 

These digital lifelines ensured that people received the help they needed, even when in-person services were unavailable.

Unfortunately, as communities emerged from the pandemic, these customers lost access to the Amazon Connect innovations. They didn’t have the staff or skills to fully adopt this modern technology, so many customers were forced back onto old, aging and inflexible platforms.

This experience ignited a passion within the SparkCX founders.

They saw the transformative power of technology to connect people and bridge divides, especially during challenging times.

Fast forward to summer 2024, and SparkCX was born.

Dan
Dan Mannion
CEO

Dan is a proven technology sales leader with over 25 years of experience driving growth and innovation in the SaaS and Cloud markets around the world. Over 20 years of experience building and leading high-performance direct sales and channel sales teams at industry giants Microsoft and Amazon, as well as several high-profile start-ups in the customer service, human capital, and cyber security markets. In his own time, he trains hard to play competitive soccer in Austin and is a passionate supporter of Austin FC, Texas Longhorns, and Penn State Nittany Lions. He’s delivered over $2B in revenue from Austin, TX, where he resides with his wife, two teenage kids, two beagles, and a cat.

Matt Puccio
CTO

Matt Puccio, a Southern California native, combines his background in art and design with a fervent passion for software, technology, and critical problem-solving. With over 15 years of experience in software development and 5 years in professional services, Puccio has honed his skills to lead global engineering teams for over 9 years.

Beyond his professional endeavors, he dedicates personal time to playing ice hockey, golf, and snowboarding, with a recent interest in pickleball. Known for his close-knit relationship with his family, Puccio exemplifies a balanced approach to both his professional and personal pursuits.

Adam Wolfe
VP Business Development

As Head of Strategy and Business Development, Adam is focused on growing and nurturing a delighted customer base for SparkCX.  He builds and executes strategies that bring operational scaling to meet market demands. Bringing 25+ years of technology sales, alliances and business development across verticals such as hospitality, finance, retail, education, utilities, gaming and government. 

Most recently, Adam spent the last 8 years building and leading the consulting partner channel team at Amazon Web Services that serves government and education customers.  He grew that channel from $2M to $200M.
