Born from a Passion to Help During Crisis

The story of SparkCX begins not in a boardroom, but in the crucible of a global challenge. In March 2020, as the world shut down, the founders at SparkCX witnessed the struggles of government agencies. Traditional systems left them ill-equipped to serve the community. Furloughed workers needed unemployment benefits, teachers needed to connect with virtual students, and essential services hung in the balance.

That's when the SparkCX team, alongside dedicated Amazon Connect partners, stepped in. Over the next year and a half, they tirelessly built virtual contact centers in the cloud. 

 

 

These digital lifelines ensured that people received the help they needed, even when in-person services were unavailable.

Unfortunately, as communities emerged from the pandemic, these customers lost access to the Amazon Connect innovations. They didn’t have the staff or skills to fully adopt this modern technology, so many customers were forced back onto old, aging, and inflexible platforms. 

This experience ignited a passion within the SparkCX founders. They saw the transformative power of technology to connect people and bridge divides, especially during challenging times. Fast forward to 2024, and SparkCX was born.

Dan Mannion

CEO | Growth & Innovation Leader
 
With 25+ years of experience in SaaS and Cloud, Dan is a powerhouse in driving revenue and building high-performance sales teams. He’s spent over two decades leading direct and channel sales at Microsoft, Amazon, and top startups, transforming customer service, human capital, and cybersecurity industries. His track record? $2B+ in revenue and counting.
 
When he’s not scaling businesses, Dan is on the field—training hard for competitive soccer in Austin. A die-hard fan of Austin FC, Texas Longhorns, and Penn State Nittany Lions, he balances leadership with family life, two beagles, a cat, and the occasional household chaos.

A Southern California native, Matt blends his artistic background with a deep passion for software, technology, and critical problem-solving. With 15+ years in software development and 5 years in professional services, he’s spent nearly a decade leading global engineering teams to success.
 
When he's not architecting tech solutions, Matt is chasing adrenaline—whether it’s ice hockey, golf, snowboarding, or his latest obsession, pickleball. A family-first guy, he believes in striking the perfect balance between building great teams and making time for what matters most.

As Head of Strategy and Business Development, Adam is all about expanding and elevating SparkCX’s customer base. With 25+ years in technology sales, alliances, and business development, he has driven success across industries like hospitality, finance, retail, education, utilities, gaming, and government. His expertise? Scaling operations to meet market demands and crafting strategies that fuel long-term growth.

Before joining SparkCX, Adam built and led the consulting partner channel team at Amazon Web Services (AWS) for government and education customers—growing it from $2M to $200M in just 8 years. Now, he’s bringing that same game-changing approach to SparkCX.
